The Transformation Machine:

Transformations are dynamic processes
and are opposed to static objects, images or concepts

Time/Space Machines Translate disconnected Points
into Connected Spaces

According to Hofstadter
(in Goedel, Escher, Bach)
Goedel proved that systems
 could become inconsistent or incomplete
 when translated

Perhaps the  computer is a Goedelian machine
-which might explain why it is so confusing
-and why it refuses to remain simply a tool to preserve the status quo
