Programme Notes:
A series of Java Applets based on a simple simulation of a TV
screen with a variable pulse (delay and width) controlled via the
interface.
The process works in real-time and the image is the direct
result of the interacting frequencies used.
Philosophically, the works demonstrate that not all images need to
be representations of a Platonic concept existing outside the image.
In this case, there is no bit mapped image: The image is created in
real-time as the combined result of interactions between the various
frequencies involved in processing the data in the computer, presenting
the results on a screen, percieving it with the eye and processing it
in the brain.
Warning:
Image Flicker may cause eye discomfort or even Epilepsy by sensitive people
