Boar Butlig was unwell. He did not get up to eat -and that is a very bad sign in a pig. When we left to go shopping we did not expect to see him alive on our return.
However, on our return he was still with us -and seem to improve as the afternoon went on.
Butlig is worryingly sick
He did move during the morning -but is
still very ill
(is it his stomach -or his tumour?)
On our return from shopping, Butlig seemed
a bit better
His Tumour seems to be breaking open -is that Good, or
Bad?
This morning, when we went to feed him he was already dead.
His pen-mate Brownie tried to rouse him
Probably, his tumour, which was starting to break open and ooze a brown fibrous mess, had spread to other organs.
Luckily, the end seemed to come quite quickly without a lot of suffering. Despite his hernia and his tumours, he was a very lucky, happy and friendly boar during the 16 months that he lived with us.
