"Trilogy" consists of three Semi-Interactive Java Computer Programmes:
"Parameter", "Meta-Parameter" and "Parametrical Space"
These programmes are configured to run either in a browser (if one with a java plug-in is still available)
-or as a stand-alone application.
Each programme requires nothing more than a suitable computer with a Java Runtime Environment.
However a Java Development Kit may be required if adaptions to the programme (i.e. screen format,
etc) need to be made in situ. However, it is expected that with advance information any adaptions
required can be pre-programmed in the Philippines.
The works are "semi-interactive": Which means that each has a pop-up menu (right mouse click)
allowing the work to be configured -or experimented with by a serious user. The interaction is an
additional, positive, feature (which does aid the development of insight into the principles
involved) but is not an absolutely essential part of the work.
A basic presentation, simply means three screen based works. However, optimal presentation would
allow the discrete presence of a mouse for interested parties to experiment with.
In such cases, an attendant should click away the menu after use by the viewer.
Although it would be nice if all three presentations were similar and roughly equal -there is no absolute reason for presenting all three sections in the same location. Three separate locations would be fine -as long as there was some continuity between the individual presentations that preserved the unity.
