System as Information:

Information: "The difference that makes a difference "

 -Gregory Bateson

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

The various bindings between variables creates patterns in the output.
 These patterns of output reflect the conditions of the variables and the way they interact as a result of the bindings

In turn, these patterns can be "interpreted" to "reconstruct" (some of) the conditions that created them.

By mapping (translating between) the various patterns and the conditions that created them
 we construct "information" from "data"

This allows us to modify (via control inputs) the way the system behaves -dependent on the information available.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Variable => Value => Data

Data => Information => Signal

Signal => Coordination => Control

Patterns of data can be used to "interpret" the output values (data analysis).
